Job Growth Numbers for March 2009
With this morning's report that the economy lost 663,000 jobs in March, the Obama Administration is now more than 1.6 million jobs below the pace they would need to maintain in order to meet the stimulus package's target of 3.675 million new jobs by the end of 2010.Only the education and health sector added jobs in March; all other sectors lost jobs and are now behind their projected rates -- manufacturing and professional services each by more than 300,000 jobs.
